Untappd is our new beer menu software, effective January 2020. We use the platform for in-store printed beer lists, website integration and a new event and social component that helps you stay engaged with your guests.

For the initial use period of 90 days, you are limited to the corporate-provided template within the platform. This design has been created to extend brand consistency across all locations within the Brixx system and to encourage growth and education within our beer program.

If you have suggestions for how to improve this template, please email Christopher with your feedback. We will evaluate the feedback and make adjustments as necessary.

Please note that you may notice sudden changes in user permissions, layout and other features as revisions are made. Do note that the header may NEVER be edited.

How do I create or edit my menus?

Navigate to the Beer Menus header at the top left-hand side of your screen and select “Add a new beer menu.” After giving your menu a title and creating a section, you can begin adding beers to your menu populating all required beer details. Once complete, remember to hit the large green “Publish Menu” button to push your menu live to Untappd users! To edit a menu, you select the desired menu and make required changes. These changes will automatically update anywhere that your menu is published. (Untappd Venue Page, Facebook, Print / DB)

How do I add a new beer? Remove a beer?

Once you add a new menu, select the section you’d like to add a beer to and locate the beer using the search bar. The search bar scans through Untappd’s internal database. To remove a beer all you need to do is hover over the desired beer and select the trash can icon on the right side.

What if I am adding a beer that is not included in the Untappd database?

You can now add brand new beers to the Untappd database directly from your Untappd for Business account! If you search for a beer in your menu builder and see no results, click “Don’t see the beer you’re looking for? Add it here”. You will then be able to populate the beer detail and add the new beer to the Untappd database. Please make sure all the details you input are accurate. After a beer is created, it cannot be edited.

What type of information should I be displaying for my beers?

The custom menu includes fields for Beer Name, Brewery Name, Beer Description, Brewery Location, Beer Style, ABV, IBU, Calories, Container / Pour Size, and Prices.

The Untappd Rating is an optional feature. If you want them turned on or off, contact Christopher.

What if I want to display more information for my beers than is currently shown?

The only beer details supported by your custom template are Beer Name, Brewery Name, Beer Description, Brewery Location, Beer Style, ABV, IBU, Calories, Container / Pour Size, and Prices. Additional beer details are not supported at this time.

How can I inform customers about my menu changes?

Any time an edit is made to a published beer menu, all venue subscribers will receive a push notification.

What if I need to edit details about my location?

Navigate to the “Settings” header at the bottom left-hand side of your screen and select either “Location Details” or “Location Hours” to make needed changes.

How do I engage with Untappd subscribers?

Navigate to the “Venue Checkins” header and click “Recent Activity”. You will then be able to see all the recent checkins from your customers. You can then Toast or comment on their checkins. A Toast is equivalent to a “Like” on Facebook. Doing either of these actions will notify the user.

Be sure to publish Events to promote happenings and activities at your location. Publishing an Event will initiate a push notification to your subscribers as well.
